Aboru Aboye,
A Happy and Fruitful 2010.
Here are some more questions.
How does an owo FA kan (IseFa) automatically make one a Iyanifa? Do "Iyanifas" get posessed by Egun during an Orisa function?
Does wearing a red parrot feather (oke odidere) at a Tambor, Guirro, Bembe, Cajon make one an Olorisa? Just stick a feather in your hair and "Poof" you are instantly a Santero/a.
Is there power in the ilekes so that people need to receive these for a ridiculous big amount of money?
Where is the correct teaching of the elders, and I do not mean "I am doing it this way because my elders instructed me to do so."
Everything is backed up by Odu, the Language of IFA.
Does protocol play a big part in IFA and why is it lacking in the diaspora? What does this mean?
Does a "Babalawo" need to do an ebo with a used tampon? Which odu is backing this up?
How does an "Oba" give the Ibejis that are not even Ibejis for a ridiculous amount of money without instructions of how to take care of them?
How does a Babalawo receive ORI out of Cuba as a cement ball with some cowries on it and a wooden skull sticking out of it when the Concept of ORI was foreign to Cuba and recently came to Cuba about 3-5 years ago? On top of that he gives me the wrong info on how he is taking care of it and tells me he had to "suffer" in order to receive this ceremony. What is that all about?
How does someone receive Esu/ Elegua/ Elegbara for a ridiculous amount of money and than just receives a stone and a tiny little two inch shell without instructions of how to take care of this stuff? BTW the stone and shell the price tag was $1000.00. Welcome to "My PET ROCK Supplies"!
"In the Land of the BLIND one Eye is King."
The Orisas and IFA are REAL but unscrupulous people screw this beautiful tradition up.
In real life these individuals are being called FRAUDS and are being hauled off to jail. But because of spiritual intimidation and or the throwing of Negativity on their unsuspecting 'victims' this charade continues........! It is a shame.
2010 will be THE year of CLEANSING of this type of negativity. Mark my words.
Yours in IFA always,
Oloye Akinjinrin of Gbagura Land Awo Ifayemi
